Bucharest, December 16th – AdPrint, the only European advertising festival that awards the best creative teams for outstanding print work, announces the 12th edition. The Call for Entries period will start on the 1st of January 2011, at 0.00 AM. The entries can be submitted to the festival via on-line registration only, no later than the 1st of March 2011.
AdPrint Festival’s mission is to promote print and its values at an international level, considering the recent unfavorable context for print media and print advertising. Therefore, one of the main goals of the Festival in 2011 is to gather the best print work in Europe and to promote its true great value.
In order to fulfill this mission, AdPrint Festival has the support of its traditional partner, Lürzer’s Archive, and also the help of two other important partners starting 2011: Art Directors Club of Europe (ADC*E) and Berlin School of Creative Leadership. Having not only these prestigious partners close, but also some of the most important media titles in Europe, AdPrint will launch once again the proposal to celebrate print as the noblest medium, with an impressive history.
„As more and more companies turn to digital to answer their communication needs, the power of print is often overlooked and underestimated. Without print many of today's most successful campaigns could not be executed effectively, particularly campaigns that are truly integrated. In tackling issues facing the creative industries, the Berlin School places great importance on bringing together leaders from a wide range of creative disciplines and print is no exception. In fact, we were extremely pleased that Heidelberg Druck recently sponsored a full scholarship for a print professional to attend our global Executive MBA program. Similarly, AdPrint is doing an excellent job bringing leaders in print and print design together and the Berlin School is proud to support the 2011 AdPrint Festival”, said Sheridan Johns, Director Berlin School of Creative Leadership.
In order to underline the passion and respect that AdPrint has for print, the structure of the competition will remain open only to print, in order to focus on the pure creativity of this medium. In addition, the festival gathered in a new category the old BEST OF sections, supported by Lürzer’s Archive.
Therefore, the 12th edition of the festival brings an important highlight in the structure of the competition comprising 3 categories: AdPrint BEST USE OF - supported by Lürzer's Archive, AdPrint Press & Magazine and AdPrint Outdoor & Poster.
The AdPrint Jury will be composed by internationally renowned creative teams. For years, AdPrint has been privileged to welcome in the jury creative teams among the world’s top advertising people to emphasize the value that only such a powerful joint-venture can generate. Once more, AdPrint Festival will reward the best creative teams for outstanding print work.
The jury, that will evaluate all the works in the competition will be chaired by Carl Le Blond, Deputy Executive Creative Director of Ogilvy Group CEE. His team mate will be Tony Strong, Copywriter AMV BBDO London.
The judging process will take place online exclusively. All the judging teams will by announced by the 1st of January, on

AdPrint Festival is the only European advertising festival dedicated exclusively to print advertising and has an unique attribute worldwide because it addresses creative teams, not only advertising agencies or individuals. It evolved from a local print manifestation back in 1998 to a regional (2001) and then European Festival (2004). AdPrint Festival is organized by The Institute, part of Millenium People group.
